FEMI AND THE FOUNDATION
Imagine this: The Roots meet the Red Hot Chili Peppers, then rock out even harder. Meet Femi and the Foundation. Balancing powerful and raw sound with fearless experimentation, they seamlessly create a captivating blend of funk, rock, hip-hop, and r&b that inspires.
Based in Washington, DC, they have quickly established themselves as a headlining act and as broad-reaching collaborators, drawing large crowds at DC, MD, VA, and NY's most iconic regional venues and music festivals.
Their debut album “Wrong Side of the Sun” was released in August 2025 and received the DC Wammie Music Award for Rock Album of the Year.
As of April 2026, Femi and the Foundation is back in the studio and preparing for an exciting summer calendar including several out-of-state shows and festival appearances.
